Annika and Eva's Sleepover

This weekend we had Karina's nieces Annika and Eva over for a sleepover - it was heaps of fun!

Happy Silver Wedding Anniversary, Mum and Dad!

Thank you for being such wonderful, amazing parents. I'm so proud of you and love you so much!

Dad had been planning a big trip for him and Mum that she didn't know about. He wrote a poem for me to read to her on their anniversary to reveal his 'classic cunning plan':

Today is such a special day
For you and dear old Dad.
To share this with the two of you,
It makes us both real glad.

25 years of wedded bliss
Two sons along the way
You've had some downs, but lots of ups
To get you to this day.

You know my dad he is of course
A clever grey haired man.
He's come up with what can be said
A classic cunning plan.

On June the 6th you'll leave from home
You'll start the day by car
And get on board a great big plane
And seek out lands afar.

You'll stay in San Francisco
The funds they have been sav-ed
And stay there for a few short days,
With little brother David.

Then on to Portland you will come
It's close there on the map
And witness my Karina
At getting her new cap.

Spend a week or two with us
You'll be welcomed not a menace
Then after that you're on your way
To London to watch tennis.

You'll watch the best of tennis, then,
And hear Big Ben go bong
And on the way back home Dad thought
Three nights in old Hong Kong.

Please say yes to father's plan
It's been brewing for a while
A special day that this one is

Valentine's Day

Today was my first American Valentine's Day and we celebrated out at Lisa and Mike's place with Annika, Eva, Alexander, Liz and Bob. We had a wonderful fondue dinner.

The Larmans also gained a new addition to the family today - a black lab/golden retriever mix puppy named Coda. He is really cute - there was a family looking to give the puppy away in the parking lot of a supermarket, so we took him back to their place and that's where he stayed!

Oregon Zoo

Ingrid has been down visiting Lisa and Mike this week so we went to the Oregon Zoo on Saturday. Ingrid, Annika and Eva stayed the night with us and we went to the Portland Chinese Gardens today to check out the Chinese New Year celebrations.
