Halloween

Happy Halloween!
This is my first American Halloween! We had a wonderful dinner and then went our trick-or-treating. We were all dressed up as the Wizard of Oz crew. I was the Tinman, Karina was the Wicked Witch, Annika was Dorothy, Eva was the Lion, Alexander was the Scarecrow, Lisa was the Good Witch Glinda and Mike was the Wizard. I can't believe how many lollies I saw tonight!
Thanks for a great Halloween!

Pomeroy Historic Farm

Karina's parents have been down visiting from Canada this week, which has been great! This weekend we went to Pomeroy Farm near Battle Ground. They also had heaps of fall/pumpkin related activities including 'pumpkin lane', where they had made dozens of scarecrows with pumpkin heads. They placed them all over their farm and we got to ride past and see them on a hay ride.

Multnomah Falls

Karina's parents have been staying with us here in Portland while they are down visiting for the week, which has been great! This afternoon I was free from work, so Ingrid and I went on a drive out to Multnomah Falls. The falls are in Columbia Gorge, about half an hour east of Portland. The Multhnomah Falls are the fourth highest in the USA. They are really stunning.

Bizi's Pumpkin Farm

This weekend we went to Bizi's Pumpkin Farm near Battle Ground, where they have heaps of fall/pumpkin related activities. We picked out our pumpkins for carving and they even had a giant pumpkin slong-shot, where we had to shoot pumpkins into barrels. Brilliant concept!
