The Beautiful Game

At the moment I'm back at home in Nelson for a few days as it's our mid-semester break. It's really great being back here! (Although Dad did put me in my place out on the golf course today - he claims that he hasn't played for over a year but I'm not sure I believe him ;-P)
I had a few tests and assignments due at uni before the break and they were all good so it's nice having a bit of a break.
I was also doing a bit of apartment hunting in the middle of the city in Auckland for when Karina comes (yes, she's coming!!! :-D) in July. I found us an apartment in a student apartment building right next to uni in the middle of town so it's going to be brilliant!
This year I'm playing soccer for Mt Albert-Ponsonby in the Northern First Division and we have started the season with 3 wins and a loss. We had a good 1-0 away win down in Hamilton against Melville United on Saturday so we had a good bus trip back!
This is from Melville's website:

Melville beaten at home
14.4.2007:
A 21st minute penalty for hand ball proved the difference between the teams as Mt Albert Ponsonby beat Melville United 1-0 at Gower Park.
Chris Gage converted the spot kick to give Mt Albert their first win at Gower Park in many years and keep them top equal in the league.
But Melville made a storming finish and could well have won the match in the final 10 minutes.
A MAP hand ball went unpunished and their keeper Andrew Stevenson made a stunning late save to deny Paul Stewart a goal from a near-post header. Nathan Holten also blasted wide in injury time with a clear sight of goal.

This weekend we are playing at home in a top of the table clash against Lynn-Avon United, I can't wait!
